Growing Up With Rituals

My father was a hairdresser in Chile, so I grew up with daily rituals pertaining to scalp and hair from an early age. He often cut hair for family and friends and would spend hours braiding my long hair for school photo days.
2016

Years of Hair Damage

Despite growing up with holistic hair rituals, I spent my teenage years and young adult-life frantically damaging my hair with heat & dyes. My hair got really damaged, dry and frizzy, so much so that it started to break and stopped growing.
2020

Creating Ceremonia

I created this brand to restore my own natural hair after years of damage. On a quest to go Silicone & Sulfate Free, I realized how toxic most hair products are. When I couldn’t find something that met my level of clean & sustainable ambition, I set out to built it myself. It all began with one little miracle scalp oil: Aceite de Moska.

Claiming Our Space

After multiple beauty awards and raving customer reviews, Ceremonia was hand-picked as “the next big thing in hair” by Sephora and we became the first Latina-founded hair brand to be carried at Sephora nationwide. I’m now on a mission to ensure we aren’t the last.
