Where are Ceremonia’s products and ingredients from?
All of our products are formulated and bottled in New York, with key active ingredients sourced from Central and South American countries, including Brazil, Peru and Mexico—some of the many places that inspired Ceremonia from the start. What are your key active ingredients and where are they sourced?

What is your approach to sustainability?
Ceremonia is rooted in Latin heritage and ritual. As we believe the harmony of nature is the most powerful ceremonia there is, our brand celebrates such, with ingredients that are clean and safe—for you and nature.
We whole-heartedly believe that together every small step creates one big step toward a healthier world. Therefore, all of our bottles are made of 30% post-consumer-recycled PET material and are 100% recyclable.
In an effort to limit our packaging waste, only the essentials are included in your shipment while ensuring safe transport.
Additionally, we understand that what happens in the shower doesn’t stay in the shower. Therefore, none of our products contain any toxic ingredients that may be deemed unsafe for our environment or waterways.
We understand that sustainability is an ever-evolving topic, and we remain committed to honing and adapting our efforts, always looking to do what’s best for the Earth.

Do you use any harmful perfumes/fragrance in your products?
No, nothing about Ceremonia products is harmful or toxic. Our clean-formula signature scent is 100% skin-safe, hypoallergenic and formulated without harsh chemicals, parabens or phthalate.
Are your products safe for color-treated and/or damaged hair?
Absolutely. All of our formulas are gentle and sulfate-free with nourishing ingredients, many of which are specially developed to treat dry and/or damaged hair.
Where are you located?
Our office is located on 6 St Johns Ln, New York, NY 10013. With the current climate, we're working remotely until further notice.
Are there any parabens, sulfates, silicones or other harmful ingredients in your products?
No. Our products do not include parabens, sulfates or silicones and are free from many other ingredients you’ll find in traditional beauty. Did you know that Europe has banned 1,600 harmful and potentially toxic ingredients, while the US only bans 30 of them? At Ceremonia we pride ourselves in pushing the boundaries of what the future of beauty can be and have banned over 1,600 ingredients and beyond, following the EU framework. Ceremonia prides itself in using clean and safe formulas with a strong emphasis on natural ingredients. At the intersection of farms and labs, Ceremonia has created its own original clean recipes with key natural ingredients sourced from Latin America. We believe in high-performance toxic-free products that are good for you and for the environment.
Are your products vegan and cruelty free?
Yes. All Ceremonia products are vegan and cruelty free certified by The Leaping Bunny association. The Leaping Bunny Logo is the only internationally recognized symbol guaranteeing consumers that no new animal tests were used in the development of any product displaying it.
Why don’t you use biodegradable packaging?
At this time, PCR (post-consumer resin) is the most suitable packaging option available, as it’s durable, recyclable, keeps single-use plastic out of landfills and requires the least amount of energy to be produced and recycled.
While biodegradable plant-based plastic is great in theory, it requires rather sophisticated compost methods, which most do not have access to, and are not recyclable. This means that non-composted biodegradable packages are more than likely to end up in landfills due to inaccessibility to compost and the lack of specialized recycling facilities, and can take just as long to break down as regular plastic.
PCR allows us to reuse thousands of pounds of plastic from our landfills and oceans, while also making them recyclable after you’re done using your product.

Are your products safe for children?
While our product formulas are clean and safe, they are not “tear-free” for children. Avoid contact with eyes.
I don’t identify as Latinx. Is Ceremonia still for me?
Yes, Ceremonia products provide hair wellness for all hair types. As a brand, we find our inspiration in Latinx culture, with formulas featuring ingredients such as super fruits and plants that are native to Latin America, creating a product line that offers a modern take on Latinx rituals. Ceremonia is here to offer the very best of clean hair care for all, championing individuality, inclusivity and diversity. We’re here to celebrate a new natural.
Are your products suitable to use during pregnancy?
Generally, all of our formulas and products are safe for pregnant women. As skin might react differently during pregnancy, we recommend to apply any new product on a smaller area of the skin before application fully. We also recommend discussing any new products with your OB/GYN to discuss any potential concerns.

What is the best use-case for the Aceite de Moska scalp remedy oil?
Aceite de Moska is great for all hair types! We recommend using 1-3 droppers of product on shorter lengths and at least 3-4 droppers for long lengths, massaging into the scalp and roots, working down your lengths into the ends. For best results, treat the scalp with Aceite de Moska at least once a week on average or more, depending on your hair health and need.
Is Aceite de Moska safe for sensitive scalp/skin?
Yes, it is certified RIPT (Repeat Insult Patch Test), meaning it is non-irritating, clinically-tested and allergy-tested. While our formulas are clean and allergy-tested, we recommend consumers with a sensitive scalp to test the product on a smaller area, before full application. We recommend storing Aceite de Moska in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to avoid altering the formula in any way.
What is Aceite de Moska?
Our products are manufactured both locally and globally. We carefully select our manufacturing partners to ensure our products are high quality and a fair value.
How often can I use Aceite de Moska?
As often as you’d like! We recommend using 1-2 times per week for optimum scalp health, depending on how often you wash, but there is no risk in overuse of the product.
Will Aceite de Moska treat dry/itchy scalp?
Our Aceite de Moska formula was made to support scalp health overall . Our formula helps to nourish and moisturize the scalp, while reducing flakiness and removing excess sebum. Our Aceite de Moska scalp remedy oil promotes follicle wellness and a healthy scalp. In the interim of any underlying scalp conditions, we suggest speaking with your personal care physician, before using Aceite de Moska.
Payments/Orders/Refunds
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payments via American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Ceremonia digital gift card.
How do I use my promo code or discount code?
You can input your promo/discount code on the Order Summary page, before Shipping and Payment during checkout. Only one code permitted per order, product exclusions may apply.
Do you ship worldwide?
We currently ship to the US, but we want to hear from you - Tag us on Instagram, and let us know where you’d like to see @myceremonia shipped next!
What is the ordering/shipping process like?
Once the order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email with all order details and an order number directly to the email address provided during checkout. Order processing and fulfillment takes approximately 1-2 business days.
You will then receive an email confirming shipping and tracking number. Shipping time depends on the shipping speed selected at checkout. We offer ground shipping (5-7 days) as default with 3-5 day standard shipping via USPS available, if preferred. We recommend ground shipping, as it’s the most sustainable!
